You will need:

- Paper
- Packet of seeds
- Water

- Jar

- Blender
- Basin
- Mesh guard

- Tea Towels
- Books for weight
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Hole punch

- String or ribbon

- Letter Ink set and Black ink pad

How to create your seed paper tags

Collect Paper Scraps: Begin by collecting paper scraps from around your home. These can be old newspapers, magazines, junk mail, or any other paper products you have lying around. Tear the paper into small pieces and place them in a large bowl.

Soak in Water: Cover the paper scraps with water and let them soak for a few hours, or overnight if possible. This will help soften the paper and make it easier to blend into a pulp.

Blend into Pulp: Once the paper scraps are soft, transfer them to a blender. Blend the paper and water mixture until it forms a smooth pulp. You may need to add more water to achieve the desired consistency.

Add Seeds: Once blended, add seeds of your choice to the mixture. You can use flower seeds, herb seeds, or a combination of both, depending on your preferences. Blend the seeds into the pulp until they are evenly distributed.

Prepare the Dip Screen: To shape the seed paper, you'll need a dip screen. If you don't have a dip screen, a grease splatter guard works just as well and is a more accessible alternative. Place the dip screen or splatter guard in a large bowl of water.

Form the Seed Paper: Pour the pulp and seed mixture onto the dip screen or splatter guard, spreading it out evenly to form a thin layer. Use your hands or a spatula to smooth the pulp into an even thickness.
Remove Excess Water: Sandwich the paper pulp between two wads of fabric to absorb excess water. Press down gently to remove as much water as possible.

Press and Dry: Place heavy books or other flat weights on top of the fabric-wrapped seed paper to press it flat. Leave the paper to dry overnight, or until completely dry and firm to the touch.
